Wednesday, Aug. 2nd, 2024 10:30am - Excursion to Tahquamenon Falls via the Toonerville Trolley Wilderness Train and the Hiawatha Riverboat. The train is a 5 1/2 mile ride on a narrow gage railroad through a forested habitat which often boasts sightings of black bears, deer and other wild animals.  Then we board the boat for a 21 mile narrated cruise to the rapids above the falls.  The boat docks for 1 1/4 hours while passengers have the opportunity to hike 5/8 mile to the falls via a well-groomed trail. (although NOT handicap accessible).  This is an all day excursion, departing at 10:30 a.m. and arriving back around 5:00 pm.  We must arrive at the train station by 10:00 a.m.  The cost is $48 for adults, $26 kids (age 4-15) and free for ages 0-3.
