Membership to the Downriver Community Band

Membership is open to adults, age 18 or older, who play a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument. There are no auditions, assigned seats or parts. Parts are distributed based on seniority, attendance and ability. All members are given the opportunity to try their hands at solos.

Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Davidson Middle School, 15800 Trenton Road, Southgate, two blocks south of Eureka Rd.

There is a nominal membership fee to cover costs of music and conductors' salaries and building fees. A membership packet is handed out at your first attendance to a rehearsal with more details on what membership in the Downriver Community Band entails.
